Description

This Crash Replacement service applies only for official helmets sold/distributed by GearX Bangladesh including the helmet brands Bilmola, KYT, X, Icon, Shaft, and Suomy. The customer must activate the official warranty immediately after purchasing the product to the avail this service.

Service Coverage Duration: 1 year from the date of purchase of the eligible product.

Scope of Service: Free of Cost replacement of a damaged helmet due to any road-traffic accident. If the helmet's security features get compromised due to a road-traffic accident then the user shall get a replacement product at Free of Cost. The damaged product shall be replaced with the same or nearest model in price, size and color available in the current product line.

Conditions:
  • Crash Replacement Service is applicable for helmets damaged due to a road-traffic accident only.
  • Crash Replacement claims must be raised with all required documents within 15 (fifteen) days of the accident.
  • The damaged helmet must be sent to Bimafy/GearX Bangladesh for physical inspection.
  • The damaged product shall be physically examined to determine whether it would qualify for a replacement or not. It is relevant to note here that the outer and inner shell (EPS) of the helmet shall be examined to determine any safety feature compromization.
  • If a damaged helmet qualifies for a replacement then the damaged product shall not be returned to the customer.
  • GearX Bangladesh and Bimafy deserves the right to reject a Crash Replacement claim if its not deemed valid and the verdict shall be conclusive.

Limitations:

  • The Crash Replacement Service can be availed only once within the 1-year warranty period and the new helmet shall not extend the previous warranty period at any given circumstances.
  • If the customer intends to upgrade the helmet model while availing a Crash Replacement service, then any additional cost exceeding the helmet’s retail price must be paid by the customer. Any downgrades shall not qualify for a refund.

Exclusions:

The following exclusions shall be applicable for the Crash Replacement service:

  • Defects or damages which are covered under the GearX Bangladesh warranty policy.
  • Any cosmetic damages which do not compromise the safety features of the helmet.
  • Damage or malfunction of visor, padding, chin curtain, nose deflector, sun visor, switches, spoilers, air vents, buckles, straps, or any other replaceable parts.
  • Any damage due to natural wear and tear, corrosion, mishandling, negligence, ill intention, sabotage, accidental drops, mechanical or electrical breakdown, or due to usage by someone other than the actual owner.
  • Damages due to engagement in races, competitions, rally, stunts, trials, speed testing, offroad riding, and illegal activities (i.e. driving without a valid license)
  • Damages directly or indirectly because of using or attaching any foreign objects or any after market parts such as camera, intercom systems, anti-fog lenses, etc.
Claim Process

To get the Crash Replacement service, please submit a claim against your service subscription at bimafy.com/mobile app after logging-in using your registered mobile number. You must procide the following documents while submitting the claim:

  • Clear photographs/video of the damaged helmet (focusing on the physical damage)
  • Copy of valid driving license
  • A written description of the accident with location, date, and time.
  • First Incident Report from the local law-enforcement authority (if your accident was reported to the local law-enforcement authority such as the Police Station)

After submitting the claim, the damaged helmet must be sent to Bimafy/GearX Bangladesh for physical inspection. If the damaged product qualifies for a replacement, the new product shall be delivered to the customer within 10 working days from depositing the damaged product to Bimafy/GearX Bangladesh. However, this timeline may get extended due to product unavailability or due to transportation delays.
