Meghna Insurance Company Limited (MICL) was incorporated as a public limited company on 18th March 1996 under the Companies Act, 1994 and obtained registration from the former Chief Controller of Insurance, Government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh on 18th March 1996. The company has been running its operation in compliance and within the legal framework of the Insurance Act 2010 immediately after promul- gation of the Insurance Act where Insurance Act 1938 had been followed earlier. The Company started underwriting fire, marine, motor and miscellaneous insurance business from the said date. As a result of pursuing sound management policy, high professionalism, and personalized services the Company has emerged as one of the leading non-life insurer in the country.
