Prime Islami Insurance PLC. (previously Prime Insurance Company Ltd.) is a second generation private sector non life insurance company. It is a well-known, trusted and leading name in the non-life insurance sector in Bangladesh. Prime Islami Insurance was incorporated as a public limited company on 21 March 1996 under Companies Act, 1994 it obtained registration from former Chief Controller of Insurance (CCI), Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on 31 March 1996 Prime Islami Insurance obtained renewal license from the Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA) in 2011. The Company provides non-life insurance services within the stipulations laid down by Insurance Act, 2010 and directives received time to time from Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA).

The Company is listed with Dhaka Stock Exchange Lid (DSE) and Chitagong Stock Exchange Lid (CSE) as a publicly traded company It is the first ISO certified company of its kind of country and cames its msurance activities through 51 (fifty-one) on-line branches & Unes spread across the country. The company has the highest long term credit rating AAA for the year 2026 with a stable outlook.
